Lasan, Birmingham's leading Indian restaurant, based in St Paul 's Square, has been chosen as an ideal venue for this event and will provide a mouth-watering banquet of superb Indian cuisine.
Funds raised at this dinner will go to the Aids/HIV awareness project in South Asia . Arts of Asia have produced a short film, Ek Pal, which has been developed as the result of a 4-year Aids awareness programme - and funds raised at this event will help to provide practical support to distribute the film to rural locations in India , Pakistan and Bangladesh .
Celebrities present will include well-known Central TV newsreader, Ashley Blake, who will be auctioned during the evening.
Jabbar Khan, director of Lasan, said "We are delighted to be supporting this very worthy cause, which will really help people to help themselves. This will be an enjoyable evening with a purpose, to help reduce the scourge of Aids among the most vulnerable."
