innovative creations with an endorsement from one of the UK 's leading celebrity chefs following fast on the heels of a personal appearance at the recent BBC Good Food Show.
Munayam, aged 24, was invited to display the secrets of his kitchen to Good Food Show visitors on the Birmingham Pavilion stand at the recent NEC event, impressing the crowds by presenting Braised Sea Bass with sour mango sauce, one of his speciality dishes.
Munayam can also now count James Martin, leading celebrity chef and a fellow performer at the Good Food Show, amongst his impressed following. A chance encounter at Lasan, the restaurant where Munayam is the consultant chef, left Winchester-based Martin, a regular on Ready, Steady, Cook, in no doubt that Munayam's innovative menu lives up to all the hype surrounding it.
Less than a year it's launch, Munayam's skills contributed in no small way to Lasan recently being named among the UK 's Top Ten Indian restaurants in The Independent.
Lasan's owner, 27 year old Jabbar Khan, said: "I rate Munayam as one of a breed of innovative chefs currently contributing to Birmingham 's growing reputation as a centre of excellence for eating out."
